FISHING LOGS: New Jersey & Delaware Bay
Central New Jersey

Posted By Karen Wall, September 10, 2018
While offshore trips will be on hold for a spell until the tropical systems pass, action has been pretty good, what Capt. Alan Lee and crew of the Mushin calls “fishing exploding in recent trips and kicking into high gear.”
The bite was solid on fluke and the surf bluefish bite was picking up before the storms moved in over the weekend. Folks are hoping the fishing won’t miss a beat or conversely, that the wind and chilly weather will kickstart the fall run. Keep an eye on things and everyone be safe this week. This week’s tropical system is a kill shot to the mid-range and offshore troll, chunk, jig ‘n pop for this week and possibly into the weekend. No telling how long the residual effects will impact a fishing recovery.
