Fall may not officially start until later this week, but based on the fishing reports the “fall run” has begun. It’s often the bait that makes or breaks fall fishing in Rhode Island, and while making calls for this past week’s reports everyone was impressed with just how much bait is around this year. There are schools of peanut bunker, adult bunker, mullet, mackerel, needlefish and silversides so there is good reason to be hopeful for an excellent fall of fishing in Rhode Island.
