STRUCTURED SUCCESS

STRUCTURED SUCCESS
Fred Robinson jumped to an early lead in the annual Lewes Harbour MarinaTautog Tournament with a 4.87-pounder. The contest runs through October for $5 a day or $30 for the month.
Most of the fishing last week took place in the Delaware Bay, its tidal creeks and tributaries. The bay reef sites were very productive as were hard structure like the Inner and Outer walls and the Ice Breakers. With a break in the weather boats should be able to hit the ocean this week. I still think the best bet for the week will be the bay reef sites where a mixed bag of fish will be caught. Out on the Chesapeake, conditions improved throughout the bay and along with it the rock fishing became more like what we like to see in October. Chumming and baiting with live spot, peeler or soft crab will improve your chances of catching a keeper.
