TOUGH TOGGING

Posted By John Hanecak, October 22, 2018
TOUGH TOGGING
Big Ray with a big tog, his new personal best caught and released on a Backwater Jig while fishing aboard Flippin’ Out Charters.
It was a tough week of blackfishing across much of Rhode Island thanks in no small part to the almost constant near-gale-force winds seen throughout the week. Those who were able to find protected water and hide from the wind and surf were rewarded with some very good action, however. The cold nights coupled with the winds have been dropping the inshore water temperature at a steady rate, and it’s got the tog chewing. Expect the bite to blow wide open as soon as the weather calms down this week.
