BASS BLITZ CONTINUES
A couple of big stripers decked aboard the Captree open boat Capt. Gillen A couple of big stripers decked aboard the Captree open boat Capt. Gillen this week. this week.
Once again the best bet for this week is striped bass! The bass have invaded the Moriches to Fire Island area, the only issue is finding larger fish. There is a ton of fish from teen to 25 pounds, but fish over 30 have been quite sporadic. Watch your electronics and try to find solid sand eel pods with marks of fish on them. Trolling has also provided anglers with larger fish as well. Mojos and Bunker Spoons have been the hottest, while parachutes have also accounted for some fish.
