NEW YORK BOAT SHOW THIS WEEK
Be sure to visit The Fisherman booth while attending the New York Boat Show.

Rain, gale force winds and temperatures that dipped into the single digits translated into very little in the way of fishing reports from the weekend and into the early part of the week. A few cod from a single Montauk report and a cod report out of Pt. Lookout, both from Saturday, were all we could find on the saltwater front. On the freshwater side, Connetquot River State Park continues to yield good trout fishing for flyrodders, with rainbows to 4 and 5 pounds reported from the park’s waters.

More bad weather is expected over the next couple of days, so if fishing is off the table, there is the New York Boat Show which will be berthed at the Jacob Javits Convention Center from Wednesday, January 23 through Sunday, January 27. We will be there so be sure to stop by and say hello. Sign up for a new subscription, or renew your current one and receive a pair of Star Aluminum Fishing Pliers or a Star Dry Bag. And, don’t forget that as a subscriber, you are officially entered into The Fisherman’s Dream Boat Challenge for a chance to win a new, fully rigged out Steiger Craft. For more info on the show, go to www.nyboatshow.com.
