Julian Parisi was wearing his lucky Black Hall Outfitters hat when he joined dad, Chris, for some great Opening Day trout action this weekend!
Opening Day of trout season took place over the weekend in Rhode Island and Connecticut and all accounts were of some excellent fishing had by all! While the weather was wet and wild at times, the fish were more than happy to feast on any manner of bait, lure or fly. The coming weeks should provide even more action as the second round of stocking will take place in many locations and the draw of the first weekend will pass so there will be far fewer anglers to compete with for that prime spot. Looking ahead, haddock season opens on 4/15 and preliminary word from commercial anglers has us recs anticipating another banner spring run!
