Trout on the Rise

Posted By Toby Lapinski, March 13, 2017
Trout on the Rise
Last week the state began stocking its nearly 500,000 fish expected to put into Bay State waters this spring.
The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife began stocking its anticipated nearly 500,000 brook, brown, rainbow and tiger trout across the state last week. They began in the southeastern district, hitting a bunch of lakes and ponds on the Cape and have been moving west each day with many spots in the Boston – Worcester range also receiving fish. This will continue for the next couple of weeks until all the fish have been stocked, and the surge of fresh fish should make for some great fishing options until our saltwater species start to arrive.
