FISHING LOGS: New Jersey & Delaware Bay
Northern New Jersey & Hudson River

Posted By J. B. Kasper, June 12, 2017
Fifteen-year old Matthew Lalomia from Paramus, NJ with a 10-pound doormat brought into Fisherman’s Den North in Atlantic Highlands last week.
It was crazy early week weather, then summer temperatures over the weekend for anglers fishing the northern coast. Fluke fishing is improving and the number of keepers is getting better. Striped bass fishing is hit or miss with some nice keepers still being caught in the ocean. Bluefish are still providing some decent fishing, however most of the slammers are now in the 1- to 6-pound class. Bottom fishermen are finding some excellent fishing with big numbers of sea bass, some improving ling catches, winter flounder, a few cod and even some whiting. Thresher sharks are also in the mix along the inshore waters.
