FISHING LOGS: New Jersey & Delaware Bay

Posted By Nick Honachefsky, August 7, 2017
With the latest easterly winds, fluke fishing picked up in the wash, while you guessed it, sharks and rays are being caught on chunk baits, both during the day as well as the usual night shift. The coolest happening I saw this week was of false albacore and/or Spanish mackerel schools jumping on bait outside the breakers. If the speedsters are here, get ready to toss thin-profile metals and rip them back at a super quick pace with the sunrise/low light hours the best time to hook up.
