BASS IN FALL MODE

Posted By Tom Melton, September 11, 2017

I spoke to Capt. Walter of the Fish Finder II out of Captree who said he fished the DSR and had more fish than he could count. He had kohos, kings and even an 8-pound brown trout. At one point he said the area looked like a massive bluefish blitz you see up inside Huntington Harbor! The time is on, so head up if you get a chance.

From Steve Shevlin I heard the Patchogue Lake area has been good to him the last several weeks. Steve has scored with bass to 3 pounds on frogs worked on top of the weed beds. Also, casting Senkos on top of the lily pads and letting them fall off.
