SERIOUS FISHING

Posted By J. B. Kasper, September 11, 2017
It’s time for the serious fishermen to enjoy the best fishing of the year; now if only the constant rains would stop! Once again the mid-week rains roiled some waters, however most rebounded quickly. Water temps in some lakes dropped into the 60s for the first time. Bass fishing is still a hit or miss game; however dropping water temps have already jumpstarted the fishing in some waters. Smallmouth fishing in rivers and streams is already on the upswing, while crappie fishing is still an evening bite in most waters. Panfish, carp and catfish are supplying some good fishing in most waters, while walleye and hybrids are also serving up some good fishing after dark in a few waters. Rounding out the prospects for some action this coming week are northerns, muskies and trout.
