FISHING LOGS: Long Island, Metro NY
West End South

Posted By Geoffrey Lawrence, September 18, 2017
Sheryl Kallo with a brace of nice weakfish from Jamaica Bay.
Unsettled sea conditions from the hurricanes that are rolling up the coast will keep most boats at the dock for the start of the week. Hopefully the porgies and sea bass will not flee the scene and will stay on local reefs and wrecks. Weakfish are slowly making their move into the waters. To the west they are lurking around Jamaica Bay and the Marine Parkway Bridge, and to the east try Gilgo near buoy 35. Take your shot with small plastics or sandworms. Porgies are a sure thing in the Jamaica Bay and Far Rockaway waters.
