AFTER THE STORM

AFTER THE STORM
Long Island Sound fared quite well this week, experiencing far less of Jose’s wrath than the rest of southern New England. (Image courtesy of Rock and Roll Charters)
Jose brought some serious wind, but the fish really don’t seem to have minded all that much. Albies have been red hot. The striper bite has been smoking as well from Westerly, RI and throughout the extreme eastern Sound. Assuming Maria’s affects are mild, I expect to see a steady increase in the catches of striped bass and albies this week. I think this is one of those times when you can’t afford not to get out there for at least one trip. We turn the Calendar page this weekend, if you aren’t feeling a sense of urgency, you should be.
