Porgies like these caught aboard the Capt. Lou should continue to please sinker bouncers on inshore reefs.
Unsettled sea conditions from the hurricanes that are rolling up the coast may keep some boats at the dock for the start of the week. A few local party boats got out on a couple of trips and it seems the porgies, sea bass and triggerfish have not fled the scene and stayed on local reefs and wrecks. Keeper bass should be getting into gear very soon. Schoolie bass have been taken on clams at the bridges and will jump on topwater plugs and poppers in the back bays and State Channel. On Sunday the weakfish made a strong showing in Ocean Beach and the State Channel.
