FALL BONANZA
There has been some solid striper action around the Merrimack River and Parker River Wildlife Refuge. (Image courtesy of Surfland B&T)
There is a plethora of saltwater appetizers on the menu for fishermen in southern New England this week. Although the commercial tuna season is closed the recreational fishing is crazy good. There are tons of medium-sized tuna as well as giants. It is a great time to enjoy tuna fishing for the amazing sport fishing experience that it is. The inshore species are also on the move, very hungry and aggressive. School-sized stripers are everywhere as well as jumbo stripers and bluefish. It may not be beach weather anymore fishing activity is at its peak. It is a great opportunity to take advantage of some fantastic fall action.
