BASS ON THE PROWL

Posted By Tom Melton, October 9, 2017
For this week, the latter stages of the week should be best as the weather will be turning cooler. This front should put bass on the prowl in search of baitfish. Fish the edges of grass fields that are dying off, making for a carpet-like matt on the bottom. Baitfish will be on these underwater fields, and bass will be on their tails in search of an easy meal. I like square billed cranks or a lighter colored jig for best results. However, don’t overlook your favorite jerkbait.
