FALL IS LATE

FALL IS LATE
There are some slammer scup being caught right now, like this hubcap landed aboard the Black Hawk this week.
Water temps are higher than normal for late-October, I figure Mother Nature felt like she owed us one after the twin hurricanes. Blackfishing seems to be at the top of most lists right now and the bite has been getting better and better. Stripers are also biting well as the fall run seems to be finally be underway. Bluefish have been tougher to find in most areas, except the waters off of Watch Hill and Fishers Island. Albies are still in residence from New London to Norwalk and—by nearly all accounts—the bite has been very good.
