Now is the time to target tog in Rhody waters. (Photo courtesy of L'il Toot Charters)
Following another October weekend of shorts and tee-shirt weather, it’s hard to believe that we actually already creeping up on the month of November. We still have tons of false albacore around, and the tautog bite, which should be in full swing, is just starting to get going. I was talking with a friend the other night while taking a few casts and we were discussing the likelihood of the current trend holding into the month of November and what that might mean for the fishing. Ideally we ease into some cooler weather but we both felt that we will likely see a drastic drop in temperatures in the coming weeks. Time will tell how the remainder of the fall plays out, but I’m going to do my best to take advantage of this weather while it’s here!
