FISHING LOGS: New Jersey & Delaware Bay
Delaware, Maryland & Chesapeake Bay

Jordan Swithenbank and Curtis McDonald had fun catching tog at the wall over the weekend using sand fleas. Photo courtesy of Lewes Harbour Marina.
On Sunday we had a major coastal storm that was supposed to carry into Monday. Once the seas settle down the best bet for the remainder of the week will be sea bass on the various reefs, wrecks and other ocean structure. Tog catches were on the rise before the storm and should continue to improve. In Delaware Bay tog, triggerfish and black drum were caught over reefs, wrecks and rocks. As the days get shorter and the Chesapeake Bay waters cool the striped bass are schooling up and heading out of the rivers. The best bet for this week will be trolling or jigging the mouths of rivers from the Chester down to the Choptank and from the Severn to the Magothy. Bucktails, either single or double, are always a well-received lure.
