FISHING LOGS: New Jersey & Delaware Bay
Central New Jersey

Posted By Karen Wall, November 6, 2017
“Some nice fish are showing up in our local waters,” was the report out of Fisherman’s Headquarters in Ship Bottom this week, sharing this photo of Larry Dubin with a quality bass he caught with Mike Shimmerhorn while on the troll out of Barnegat Inlet last week.
The guys down in the central part of the state are salivating over the reports of the striped bass bite in Raritan Bay and waiting and praying for those fish to make a real run down the coast. There are some keeper bass getting picked up along shore, some on trolled bunker spoons for the boat guys, and the beach guys are picking at some keepers as well. Sea bass fishing has been keeping people happy with the action and porgies are filling things out, which helps. Don’t miss out by waiting until the “big” fish arrive, however. There are fish to be caught right now was the message up and down the area.
