RED HOT STRIPERS

RED HOT STRIPERS
Bunker spoons and Mojo Rigs have been accounting for numerous big stripers outside of West End inlets.
Bass are red hot and it’s almost a can’t miss proposition. The action is outstanding south and west of Debs Inlet on Mojo rigs and bunker spoons for fish to 42-pounds. The basic depths to fish are 40 to 60-ft. Clam bellies nailed bass along the bridges and at the Cedar Bar. Sand eels made an appearance near the Fire Island Lighthouse and anglers were able to have a blast by tossing diamond jigs. Live lined bunker also proved to be a tasty feast for stripers. Sea bass activity on the offshore wrecks in the 20 mile plus range was very good. Nice size porgies and a sprinkling of cod added to the fun.
