SUSKY STRIPERS

SUSKY STRIPERS
The “catch and release” striper season is well underway along the Chesapeake spawning areas where Capt Jeff Lewatowski of Churchville, MD and other local guides have been getting on the action in recent weeks.
Finally, a few fish to report from Delaware waters. Striped bass to 31 inches were caught from the lower Delaware River and a few bluefish came in from Lewes Beach. Still a long way from a blitz, but after the past winter and early spring we will take the good news and be happy. Your best bet for this week will be soaking bloodworms or bunker from the Woodland Beach Pier or the same baits from the beach between Cape Henlopen and Fenwick Island. Out on the Chesapeake, some big striped bass have been caught so far during the catch and release season.
