It's been blackfish, cod, ling and a few jumbo porgies for the party boats heading out in the past week, though suffice to say the weekend winds and snow storm kept many folks indoors on Saturday and Sunday. Several boats are looking to score this week, with mackerel in the mix for some and even a straggling striper or two to be found. A lot of interest in last week's meeting in Galloway, NJ which brought a number of Central Jersey anglers and business owners out in force. Clearly your proposal has struck a nerve," said angler Tom Trageser of Brick who has gathered close to 3,500 signatures in a paper and online petition that he and the RFA plan to deliver to incoming Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York.
