BUZZARDS BAY BITE

Posted By Toby Lapinski, May 14, 2018
BUZZARDS BAY BITE
Part of a catch of porgies and a 9-pound, 13-ounce blackfish landed aboard Fishnet Charters and weighed-in at Red Top Sporting Goods.
Bottom fishing is coming into its own with both blackfish and porgy action on the upswing in Buzzards Bay. Striper action was also very good this week thanks to warming inshore waters and an influx of squid. That same squid has begun to attract some bluefish, and the waters off the south Cape beaches should be very good in the coming days. Some reports of a few keeper bass even came in from the Canal, and with mackerel there coupled with the first breaking tides of the season this week, expect to see the action get even better.
