August 10, 2020:
"Business was doing right nicely until the hurricane hammered our area," said Larry over at Fairfield Fishing Tackle. The shop lost power from Tuesday into Friday. Needless to say the Passaic River was high as were most lakes and ponds in the area. "Waters were improving as of this report and hopefully waters will be fishable by mid-week," Larry said.

"Fishing in the low water Passaic River was very good, until Friday's rains," stated Ryan at Fairfield Fishing Tackle. Smallies, largemouth, pike and panfish had been supplying the fishing until high waters destroyed the water conditions on Friday. In addition we were told local lakes and ponds are seeing some algae blooms because of the recent surge in water temps into the mid to upper 80s.
