Last Lady Fishing Charters

January 22, 2018:
After a brutal January that kept the Last Lady Fishing Charters in port for much of January, Capt. Ralph Leyrer finally got out on Sunday, January 21 with 15 anglers for a couple of short blackfish, a half-dozen pout and a few other lesser species. Based on the bite and recent weather, he reported back that he's done fishing until the spring.

Capt. Ralph Last Lady Fishing Charters got socked in due to the ice in the back of the Shark River, but will be back at it as soon as there's a bit of warming. "This cold snap won't last forever," Ralph said, while reporting that other larger vessels in the Shark River area with no ice around their slips were able to get in and out. Ralph told those looking to get out for blackfish, cod and ling this month to give him a call for special winter pricing.

An early week trip with Last Lady Fishing Charters saw a light crew enjoy a very good bite of tog with Frank also decking a 10-pound cod before Christmas. A return to the spot of the good fishing the next day found whitechins hard to come by with a low double figure catch making the box and Joe taking the pool. Capt. Ralph Leyrer added that he had to cancel several late month trips because of the weather and poor sea conditions.
