Last Lady Fishing Charters

August 13, 2018:
Three generations of the Kate Novak family fished with Last Lady Fishing Charters and enjoyed some good bottom fishing. Capt. Ralph Leyrer said the group decked porgies, triggerfish and sea bass. Ralph said weather wasn't a problem on Saturday's trip, but fishing was. "Days like today are not our norm, very poor fishing, no triggers, a few porgies, a few keeper sea bass, one of which won Bill the pool," Capt. Ralph said. A move inshore produced loads of short fluke on the drift. Sunday turned out a heckuva lot better as the Bucktail Hunting Club out from Bucks County, PA caught true bonito, bluefish, red hake, sea bass, and fluke. "Rags" caught eight keeper fluke, John Sebonus, Jr. won the pool with a nice fluke and Chick fished mostly for sea bass and provided the group with a lot of fillets of sea bass according to Capt. Ralph. "Fluke hit 6-inch Gulp, bucktails, and ball jigs dressed with Gulp," Ralph said.
