Twin Lights Marina

August 13, 2018:
The few boats that did sail out of Twin Light Marina found some decent fishing. Mare told me Karen Kelly and Justina Forsyth caught 4-keeper fluke along with shorts on Peruvian smelts while fishing around Buoy 1. Greg and Ann aboard Annie H topped a good catch of fluke with a 7-pounder caught from the fishing Sandy Hook Channel. They were back on the Annie H later in the week and decked short fluke along with a pair of keepers, and a mix of bluefish, sea robins and sand sharks while fishing the Sandy Hook Channel.

Mare over at Twin Lights Marina told me it was one of those unusual weeks when no boats sailed from the marina. Needless to say the inhospitable weather was the culprit, and hopefully the weatherman will be wrong about this coming week's weather, she said.
