Capt. Tom Logan at Fish On Charters got out last week for what was likely his final offshore trip of the year. Tom said they spent several hours trolling through lots of bird and whale life at Butterfish Hole, but he did not get any knock-downs. They then set-up for some sharking to finish the day, but no takers were home. Tom thinks that the dirty water from the recent storm was largely the reason for the lack of action.

Capt. Tom Logan at Fish On Charters had plans to go offshore this weekend, but those were dashed by the heavy weather and forecasted thunderstorms developing after the blow. Tom has a canyon run slated for next week, so hopefully Mother Nature will cut him some slack.

Capt. Tom Logan at Fish On Charters made the long run to the Hudson Canyon for a good mixed-bag of fish. Tom said that the mahi were very plentiful, as they boxed 40 fish to 25 pounds while trolling and pitching baits to the pot buoys. While there wasn't much tuna action at night, they did score a nice sword of 125 pounds. Tom said that when the sun came up, the switched gears and did some deep-dropping. After a few drifts they were able to top off the fish boxes with some golden tiles.

Capt. Tom Logan at Fish On Charters got out for some sharking south of Montauk on Saturday. He said that they kept the rods bent with some short makos and blue sharks before trolling up some albies in the afternoon.
