Jail Break Fishing Charters

October 15, 2018:
With back to back striper trips chasing down limit catches of legal bass Captain Seamus Muldoon of Jailbreak Charters is looking forward to the short two-day commercial giant tuna season. He has openings for tuna, stripers and cod as the boat will stay in the water all season long. A call to the skipper could get you out to bend a rod on your last trip of the season.

The giant tuna commercial season had drawn to a close with only smaller non-commercial fish eligible for keeping. Captain Seamus Muldoon of Jailbreak Charters had a very good weekend into larger sized stripers up to and over 35 inches not very far from his slip. He has a few openings for noncommercial tuna, stripers and cod fish if you want to bend a rod before hanging it up for the season.

The word from Captain Seamus Muldoon of Jailbreak Charters was of a good trip for bass and blues off Chatham where the fish were taken on topwater and jigging right on the bottom. The reports of loads of little green bonito was not exaggerated. The skipper has seen thousands of those fish and was also catching some sub-Atlantic chub mackerel which is a variation of that species with a rounder nose and body. Well-travelled and informed tackle rep, Dan Shea, said the tiny bonito were up inside of Portland, Maine harbor.

Captain Seamus Muldoon of Jailbreak Charters had a 93-inch tuna that dressed out at 405 pounds this week between striper trips to the rips where bass fishing has been hot and cold. The last few trips produced catches of both bass and blues. He is available for cod fishing trips and the word is the bite in his area has been very good on the last two trips.

Captain Seamus Muldoon of Jailbreak Charters has a new alternator to go along with all the other new additions to the big Duffy that make fishing safe and comfortable. Bass fishing has been spotty so he was drifting live mackerel for tuna when we spoke with him over the weekend. The fall run is about to get started so give the skipper a call for a shot at bass or tuna.
