Captain Kevin from Kayman Charters told me the last trip out to the haddock grounds was a slammer. All large haddock swarmed the bait offerings of a long time Kayman group. Ray and the gang did not throw too many fish back as the end of the limit they only take 23-inch fish, the last 20 fish were all over their threshold mark.

Captain Kevin from Kayman Charters told me it was another week of great haddock fishing on the Lisa and Jake. Anglers enjoyed non-stop action again as all offerings were pounded by hungry fish. Any fish close to legal length has been returned gently to catch next year as the choice for larger fish seems to be endless. The new regulations as of yesterday keep the haddock at 15 per person plus crew's share. .Folks have been going home with 40 nice fillets each for some great eating and stock the freezer.

Captain Kevin from Kayman Charters told me great spring haddock fishing continues outside of Gloucester. Spring haddock are abundant and in large schools. This type of concentration of fish has made for lock-and-load fishing. Whales and porpoises are also in the area feeding on huge schools of bait along with the haddock No mackerel have come up on the hooks yet, but we are sure to see them soon and begin the migration of other fish. Haddock have been biting jigs as well as clams so get out there and catch some great tasting fish.
