Captain Kevin from Kayman Charters told me Gloucester fishing remains very strong on Kayman Charters. New schools of large haddock moved in last weekend to add to the great haddock fishing we are already having. Haddock to 28 inches and many in the 24-to 27-inch class are filling the gravel bottoms outside Stellwagen Bank. Large pollock have also caught anglers by surprise as they are looking for the haddock bite along with some cusk. These fish will light up the drag and bend the rod to the gunwale. The average wait time for the next fish is 5-10 seconds on the bottom. This is how incredible the fishing has been, folks can't believe it until they experience it themselves.

Captain Kevin from Kayman Charters reported fishing the outer Stellwagen area has been great to say the least. Limits of nice haddock have been caught as well as a few 15-pound pollock and a hand full of cusk to top of the fish bags. Kevin said July and August are usually big haddock months when all the super large 10-pound fish come to our local waters. August has a few shared trips open and weekends are open for private charters.

Captain Kevin from Kayman Charters reported fishing has been fantastic this past week with a nice mix of fish. Pollock, cusk and haddock have been coming over the gunwales on every drop. The fish have moved to some deeper water than the last few weeks as the summer weather rolls through. Haddock like the cooler, darker water so as the days get longer and the temperatures rise they seek these conditions. Porbeagle sharks have shown up and we have had encounters with them. These are good eating fish like mako everywhere shark and add some excitement to the day. August has a few shared trips open and weekends are open for private charters.

Captain Kevin from Kayman Charters reported haddock fishing remains steady with more large fish showing up. Crews are catching limits of nice haddock mixed-in with a handful of pollock. Fish are still in the shoal water for now but destine to seek the deeper cooler water soon as the weather warms. Stripers are in the inside waters and rivers for those casting plugs and rubber offerings. Shared haddock trips are available as well as full-day trips.
