June 18, 2018:
Capt. Joe of the Mijoy reports that, "Well, as good as the bottom fishing has been, the blues and bass trips on Saturday stunk. So much so on Sunday that we took the ride to where we fish on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and even in the small window we had customers caught enough large porgy for a few meals. Mr. And Mrs. Nick Sullivan caught a nice mess of scup. Allen Riquier of Riquier Plumbing caught some giant Mijoy porgy as well, having a great Father's Day trip. Don't forget on June 23 black sea bass will finally open in NY, making them legal to keep in all fishing areas."

Capt. Joe from the Mijoy reports that, "It was another week of good porgy fishing with some big porgy up to 19 inches and 3 lumps on its head. It's a nice trip passing lighthouses and fishing the eastern end of Long Island were the big ocean scup live. This was our last weekend with all-day trips until November. Starting on June 16 we will sail Saturday and Sunday 12 day for striper and blues leaving the dock at 6 am and 1 pm. We will still be doing porgybottom fish trips on Monday, Wednesday and Friday sailing at 6 am."

Capt. Joe on the Mijoy sent his report over on Sunday afternoon, saying "It was another great week of porgy fishing with a lot of nice fish making limits easy on most days. A few more weakfish were caught this week and a few more blues, too. We also returned a bunch of the 'rare' black sea bass... some of them were pushing 5 pounds. Mac was out a few days to catch his limit but it's become so easy with his homemade rigs with beads imported from Poland. The weather man really killed the day on Saturday with a lot of people who were afraid of weather that didn't come till we were almost home. Next Saturday and Sunday is the last weekend full-day porgy trips with the following weekend being Father's Day and bass and blues. Will be on the Schedule at 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. on weekends only to start."

Capt. Joe on the Mijoy sent his report over on Sunday afternoon, "The porgies are hungry and every trip there have been plenty to go around. That's because we are the porgy experts... we were doing the porgy thing way before it was fashionable. Besides the piles of porgies we had a few fluke, blues, an occasional weakfish and some puffers. We sail every day but Tuesday and Thursday, so come on down."
