Seven B's

November 13, 2017:
Capt. Russ Benn of the Seven B's said that the tautog fishing was very good this past week with a lot of limit catches seen around the boat and pool fish generally in the 9-plus-pound range. Along with tautog they have been seeing a few cod and a few black sea bass coming over the rails. The schedule for the coming weeks will remain Wednesday through Sunday from 6-4 weather and interest permitting. Please call ahead to make reservations for these trips. It's also always it's a good idea to call ahead to check on weather conditions and any schedule changes.

Capt. Russ Benn of the Seven B's reported that the scup and sea bass fishing was excellent again this past week with good numbers of scup in the 2- to 3-pound range and black sea bass up to around 5 pounds. Customers were often limiting-out on at least one if not both species and were leaving with plenty of fresh fish. The tautog reports have been picking up so this week they will be switching over to targeting them and will be fishing Wednesday through Sunday from 6-4 weather and interest permitting.

Capt. Russ Benn of the Seven B's was happy to report that they had a very good trip on Sunday with a lot of limits of both black sea bass and scup. The sea bass were large with a number of fish in the 4- and even 5-pound range. Scup sizes were mixed, but most of the fish were keepers and they had a good number of fish over 2 pounds. Along with black sea bass and scup they had around 10 keeper cod which is hopefully a good sign for fall fishing to come. With tautog fishing off to a slow start they will continue to target black sea bass, scup and possibly some cod for the next couple of weeks. Please call ahead for reservations and as always it's a good idea to call ahead to check on weather conditions and any schedule changes.
