    Maureen at Gone Fishing Marina reports the biggest fluke weighed in so far this weekend was caught by George Cooke on the "Reel Therapy" of 12.8-pounds taken at the point. George is now leading in the marina contest. Walt and Craig Watkins of Deer Park on "Where's The Fish II" had keeper fluke to 6.9 pounds fishing at Cartwright using Spro jigs and Gulp. Mark and Deanna Hiller along with Claude Campagne limited on fluke up to 11 pounds at the Frisbees using spearing, squid and gulp. The "Fish On" limited on fluke to 28 inches at Cartwright. The full moon produced some nice bass to 50 pounds this weekend.

    Maureen at Gone Fishing Marina reports fluke are getting bigger and striped bass have made a comeback. The "Elaine K" had nice fluke up to 8 pounds at Rocky Hill using squid and sand eels. They also had a good catch of mackerel, sea bass, porgies and blues. The "Bitchin Fishin" had 5 stripers to 30 pounds at the point using live bait. Alex and John Hadgistavrov fishing on "Best from the West" had fluke between 21 to 24 inches on the south side. Lenny Buccellato and friends from Howard Beach had fluke up to 24 inches by the lighthouse. Porgies and sea bass are abundant locally as well.

    Maureen at Gone Fishing Marina reports good fluke action outside the jetties. Joe Tota and crew on the "Memory Maker" had four fluke to 6 pounds at Culloden Point. The "Memory Maker" again had their usual success with striped bass this week, braving 6 to 8 foot seas at the point to catch bass to 41 pounds on the incoming tide before daybreak.

    Maureen at Gone Fishing Marina reports offshore is active with bluefin, yellowfin and big eye. The "Black Hawk" had a mixed bag of big eye and yellowfin west of Atlantis off the shelf. Oliver Saul, Madison McGaw and Isao Yoshimura, fishing on "The Dude" had yellowfin up to 90 pounds at the Tails. John Albanses on "Johnny Fish" had two bluefin to 60 inches trolling southwest of the point. There was shark activity close to the beach this week. The "Farniente" had three blue shark and lost a mako eight miles off, inside of CIA grounds. Inshore wise, striped bass action is still good. Jack and Logan Otto of East Moriches had a 34 and 35 pound bass at the point using live bait. David O'Sullivan, fishing on Seb Disalvo's boat had bass up to 38 pounds at the same area. Michael Graniello had a 42 and 45 inch bass on bunker spoons. His dad, Vincent, had the 45-inch bass. The "Christopher" did an inshore trip to Block Island and caught nice sea bass, then returned to the point and caught five stripers to 38 pounds.
