Capt. Renee of the Captree based Laura Lee Fleet reported they fished both the bay and ocean this week. When the sea conditions were conducive the Express fished for sea bass, porgies and blackfish out on the reef producing plenty of action with some quality fish in the mix. The hi light of the week went to boat regular Bob Smith with an 8.9 pound blackfish. On the bay front, blackfish and sea bass are still chewing with some keepers making it into the buckets. With the water temperature starting to cool down we are starting to see more striped bass starting to show up in the bay. They sail every night at 6 pm with an 11 pm trip on weekends and holiday evenings. Just a reminder that sea bass opens up again in federal waters on October 22. The Express will be full day at 6 am. They will also sail a sea bass opener on October 21 at 9 pm.
