    Fishing aboard the Miss Montauk II continues to be top notch with Chris wheeling off on Sunday with the cash as he plopped a fat 11.04-pound flattie on the deck. Not much of a drift all day, but anglers still put a nice catch together. Monday, it was Kim Kiwisoon's turn to take the pool with his nice 8.5-pounder. It was a good day of fluke fishing with nice sea bass in the mix. Wednesday it was John that put an 11.66-pound monster on the certified scale, while on Tuesday, Pete caught an 11.50-pound brute with Ken a close second with a 10.04-pound beauty. Wednesday evening had a lot of fun with the local East Hampton Sportsmen's Alliance and their annual kid's fluke trip. Thursday saw good fishing despite choppy conditions with Bill taking off with the dough after putting an 8-12-pound brute on the scale. Friday was a sloppy day on the deep blue with the conditions, but anglers had a good day and went home with a good amount of fluke and sea bass. Mike Jr. took the cash with a respectful 6.7-pound flattie. Sloppy seas made things a bit tough on Saturday except for the fishing, which was good despite conditions. It took an 8 pound flattie to beat out many other fluke in the 7 pound range to win the pool.

  • August 8, 2016 Open or Close

    Fishing aboard the Miss Montauk II had suffered tough conditions early in the week, but still managing very good catches of quality fluke and sea bass. Monday's pool winner was caught by Jeff at 7-pounds. Tuesday's pool fluke was caught by Steve of 7.4-pounds, while Jim nailed the cash on Wednesday with a hefty 8-pounder. Thursday saw the fishing getting back to normal as a very good day was had by all. Pool fluke was caught by Roger with his 10.2-pound doormat, while runner up was Erik from Florida with a fluke weighing in at 9.8-piounds. Large sea bass to 4.11 pounds were also in the mix. Friday was a day of quality, especially Mike's eye popping 11.88-pound monster which is the biggest thus far this season aboard the Miss Montauk II. Saturday, Steve won the pool with a 9.2 pounder and despite the windy conditions, fishing was pretty good. Plenty of big fluke out there just waiting to be caught. Come on out.

    Fishing aboard the Miss Montauk II continues solid even though Sunday started out with tough conditions in the morning, but turned much better in the afternoon. All in all, it was another very good day. Mark had the pool fluke weighing in at 7.6-pounds with a lot and of 7 pound class contenders chasing Mark's fish. Monday snapped right back to good action as the fluke and biscuits chewed away steadily. Pool fluke was caught by Henry Chan weighing in at 8.10-pounds. Marilyn was runner up with her 8-pounder. Some nice sea bass were in the mix to 4.15 pounds. On Tuesday, fishing was very good. Erik Sippy caught the pool fish weighing in at 8.4-pounds. Marilyn caught a 5-pound pound sea biscuit. Fishing on Wednesday saw Lee win the pool with his 6.5-pound fluke. The fishing was a little slower without a drift, but there were still nice fish in the coolers for all. Thursday was a pretty good day considering not having much of a drift. Sal won the pool with his 8.3-pounder, while Hutch came in a very close 2nd with his 8.1-pound flattie. Saturday was a very good day of fishing and Jung won the pool with his 8-pounder. Capt. Jamie's wife Sharon got to fish on Saturday and caught 10 nice keeper flatties. You go girl.

  • July 25, 2016 Open or Close

    Aboard the Miss Montauk II the bite continues to be sizzling on most days. Sunday was the exception with a little tougher fluking compliments of the conditions, but it still was a good day with some limits. A pair of 8.8-pound fluke split the pool between John Holmes and Mark. Monday saw action resumed back to great fishing with a fun group of happy anglers. Rodger was happy to take the cash with a 9.12-pound brute. Tuesday was another good day of fishing with some angler having their limit, while others had a few. John won the pool with a 7.3-pounder while Carol was a close 2nd. Some nice biscuits continue to mix in. Wednesday saw super action with limits and quality, with Tommy limiting and also grabbing the pool with an 8-12 pound beauty. Thursday was back to the valley of the giants as plenty of big fluke continues to fill the fillet table. Osprey V Captain Amanda and boat regular Fran split the pool with a pair of 9.5-pounders Both Friday and Saturday saw fantastic fishing with just too many big fish to report. Both days saw fluke in the 8 pound range win the pools.
