Parker Pete's Fishing Charters

October 15, 2018:
"We had several trips booked for sea bass this past week, but they all got blown out," reported Capt Pete Sykes of the Parker Pete. Pete said he expects to see the stripers start to move with in the next two weeks as the full moon approaches. So he expects to switch the boat to fulltime striper fishing anytime now.

"We hope to see the striped bass migration heat up around the full moon on October 24," cited Capt. Pete Sykes of the Parker Pete. So now is the time to book a striper trip for October and November. With the sea bass season reopening in a few days the boat will also will be fishing for knuckleheads until the striper fishing breaks open. The boat will be doing a share charter for Sea bass on October 15 and will also be adding blackfish to the menu when that season opens up on November 16.

"The Parker Pete did not fish this past week because of poor sea conditions," said Capt. Pete Sykes. The boat is currently bottom fishing for porgies until the sea bass restarts and will be doing bottom fishing and striped bass fishing this fall.

"We got in Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday," cited Capt. Pete Sykes of the Parker Pete. Pete told me fluke fishing was fair with keepers to 8-12 pounds, while Wednesday the fishing was also fair but fewer keepers. On Friday his charter opted for porgies and slammed the scup, along with some big weakfish to 8 pounds while fishing in 80 feet of water. A rough ocean made fishing tough on Saturday but the boat still hit a pick of fluke to 8-12-pounds. Pete said now that fluke season is over he will be targeting blues and porgies until the sea bass fishing opens back up, or the striper fishing breaks open. "We do have dates open for the stripers, blues and bottom fishing," Pete said.

"We actually snuck out on Wednesday in between the weather and enjoyed a good bite of fluke to 9 pounds," said Capt. Peter Sykes of the Parker Pete. "Needless to say that was the only day we got out," Pete said, saying "We will be fishing every day we can get in this week for fluke, weather permitting".
