November 13, 2017:
At Trophy Tackle in West Babylon, John said striper action is good, with the West Bar producing well, with a lot of smaller fish, and some keepers. The Moses Bridge also produced for clam chummers. Trolling Mojo's near the pencil produced a lot of larger fish over 30 pounds. Flat lining live bunker also produced good action. To the west the action is red hot as well. The sea bass action offshore is okay, but sporadic, with loads of dogs. Blackfish are in the bay on structure and the bridge.

    At Trophy Tackle in West Babylon, John said the striper action showed big time south of Fire Island from the Lighthouse to inlet. The West Bar also produced well on clams. There were also larger blues in the mix. To the west, bass action is good, with threshers in the mix! The sea bass action is spotty, whereas, Montauk is still seeing super action on big biscuits.

    At Trophy Tackle in West Babylon, Greg said the striper action is good to the east near Davis Park to the new Breach of Moriches has produced on the troll or by snagging dragging live bunker. On Saturday, south of Debs the action was red hot, with fish to 36 inches, and all you wanted. In the bay, yellow Danny plugs have accounted for action in the State Channel. Weakfish are off Kismet taking small jigs and sand worms. On the blackfish front, there are plenty of fish in the bay, but a lot of shorts.

    At Trophy Tackle in West Babylon, Joe said bass action is good at the Round House to the west on the troll using bunker spoons and Mojo's. Some bass were had on the bunker pods as well outside Fire Island. The blackfish action is okay at the FI Reef, and inside at the Moses Bridge. With sea bass season reopened, the action should be rock solid.

    At Trophy Tackle in West Babylon, John said stripers are beginning to show with live bait working well near the Gilgo area. On Sunday morning bass to 38 pounds were trolled up south of the Fire Island Reef. There were some fish off the Cedar Bar as well. Several anglers scored throwing topwater swimmers off Demo. On the blackfish front the action was okay with fish taking jigs and crabs.
