  • April 2, 2018 Open or Close

Over at Trophy Tackle in Babylon, Greg said the bass action and trout action should continue to build. With most all the lakes stocked, small spinners – in line – or spoons in gold or silver should attract the attention of these stockies. For bass, cranks and worm baits will account for bites too.

  • March 26, 2018 Open or Close

Over at Trophy Tackle in Babylon, John said Greg had a 7-pound largemouth at Massapequa Reservoir fishing a Reins Swimbait this past week. In Southards, pickerel to 28 inches have been culled on Berkley Cutter Crankbaits in bluegill and chrome patterns Trout action is good for anglers throwing Acme Kastmasters, Johnson and Tsunami minnows, or the old faithful red wiggler worm.

  • February 19, 2018 Open or Close

Over at Trophy Tackle in Babylon, Greg said the best bet is probably hitting the Connetquot for trout, or possible the tidal creeks in the Babylon area for white perch. If Argyle is ice free, you should be able to pull a few trout from there as well as the Belmont area. The shop is open all year, so come on down.

  • December 25, 2017 Open or Close

Over at Trophy Tackle in Babylon, Greg said the local streams should produce into January with drifting nightcrawlers a good option. For bass fans, slow moving worms or jigs will produce, while patience with a jerk bait will also prove effective.
