My Joyce Charters

October 15, 2018:
Capt. Kenny of the My Joyce III reports excellent striped bass fishing this week. Going unreported from last weekend, on Saturday it was an absolute slammer day with a great striped bass bite with lots of action of small to medium sized bass. After the tide died, it was off to sea bass land with the fishing being nonstop of fish to 3.5 pounds. After making quick work of the sea bass, there was time left to go back striped bass fishing and the charter was rewarded with a 47 pounder. On Sunday, Robert, his son 12 year old Henry and Grandpa Larry did a nice job of slamming a limit of quality striped bass. Young Henry didn't need much help, even from the Fishing Gods as he did a great job of handling things on his own and was well rewarded with some beautiful stripers. Great Job Henry. Monday in really gnarly conditions, Tom and his group from Local 3 Electricians had their annual tournament and landed some nice bass into the 30 pound range. The group toughed it out and did a great job. Saturday saw a nice mixed bag day for the Cameron Gentz group with plenty of nice sea bass and nice stripers making up the day's action. Thanks guys, what a nice day with some great people. The My Joyce III is now booking trips for stripers, blues, blackfish, sea bass and cod for the remainder of the season. The fishing was a little picky until the sunset, at which time it was game on. The bass chewed their heads off, landing an easy limit to 30 pounds.
