Jim at Miller Place Bait and Tackle reported some good scup action took place at Cranes Neck and some sea bass were present too, although most were shorts. The best spot for sea bass was buoy 9. The occasional bluefish has been taken while trolling the Middle Grounds. Don't forget the shop has a Fluke Contest that will run until the end of the season. The entry fee is only ten dollars and all weigh-ins take place at Miller's. All entries receive a raffle ticket for a shot at a bucket of S&S Bucktails. First place gets $300, second gets $200 and third takes home $100.

    Jim at Miller Place Bait and Tackle reported Eddie, Mario and Sal trolled the Middle Grounds with tubes and smacked several bass. Gary headed east on Wednesday and hammered a 36-12 inch, 19-pound bass on a niners lure. Don't forget the shop has a Fluke Contest that will run until the end of the season.     Jim at Miller Place Bait and Tackle reported James and Doug targeted the North Shore at the Middle Grounds for some blues and bass. On Saturday, Matt nailed a bass of 13-12 pounds. Porgies and mostly short sea bass are being taken at Cranes Neck. The Middle Grounds held a few keeper summer flatties. Buoy 7 saw some bas and blues. No albies were spotted locally but a customer said there were reports of them in Mattituck. Don't forget that the shop has a Fluke Contest that will run until the end of the season.     Jim at Miller Place Bait and Tackle reported porgies are going strong at Cranes Neck and Old Field. An occasional sea bass pops up in the mix. Bass at the Middle Grounds are being taken on Mojo Rigs. You can take a shot at summer flatties at buoy 7 and the Ledge at buoy 11. Snappers are solid at all piers.

    Jim at Miller Place Bait and Tackle reported anglers found summer flatties in the 65-ft. ranges. Jumbo choppers have returned to the Middle Grounds and some fish to 10-pounds were drilled. Decent size bass are mixing in. One customer encountered six bass to 23-pounds. Porgies and sea bass were captured at Cranes Neck and Old Field.
