November 13, 2017:
Capt. Sal of Moondance Charters let us know that Eddie and the boys from White Plains came out and limited out on blackfish to 9 pounds this week. George Dooley and crew sailed over to Block Island on the weekend and hammered monster porgies, sea bass and three cod. On Sunday, Rob and the boys went south of Block Island and slammed it to the sea bass to 5.5pounds, some big scup and some big bluefish. The bottom fishing remains solid and there is still some availability for the remainder of the season. Give Capt. Sal a call at (917) 601-4548 and fill the freezer.

    Capt. Sal of Moondance Charters let us know that Henry and his crew steamed to Block Island for striped bass, blues and sea bass. The boys kept three nice stripers, some monster blues and a dozen sea bass. Erik, Anthony and friends went to one of the captain's honey holes for a limit of togs to 8 pounds.     Capt. Sal of Moondance Charters let us know that the big bass continue to go boom as early in the week, Haney and his buddies put an easy limit to 30 plus pounds into the box and released several more jumbos in beautiful late October weather. Pete and his buddies from Smithtown came out for some bass action and got plenty of it, keeping their 4 fish limit with a moo cow of 40 pounds topping off the catch. Mike M, John, Fred and Al limited out on a night trip with fish to 38 pounds. Henry and his crew from New Jersey had a few bass, loads of monster blues and a bushel of sea bass.     Capt. Sal of Moondance Charters let us know Julio Salazar and his crew slam a limit of bass one night during the week between 30 and 40 pounds. Monday experienced an insane bass bite with Pete from Local 3 Electricians during their annual Local 3 Bass Tournament. Pete, Sal's mate Dean and the captain himself slammed the fish in less than an hour to 35 pounds and actually released bigger bass to 40 plus pounds. Their three largest bas weighed in at an impressive 81.4 pounds. Nice job guys. On the way back home, the guys made a drop and nailed some togs, biscuits and triggers. Jose and crew came out for a bass trip this week and landed four bass to thirty pounds. The bass fishing has just been off the charts. It's nice to get a real fall run for a change.

    Capt. Sal of Moondance Charters let us know Joe C, James, Cheech and Peter came out and limited on the stripers to 40 pounds and then finished the day off bottom fishing and filling the cooler with blackfish, sea bass and porgies. David D and crew came out for a night bass trip on the full moon, nailing 20 linesiders to 40 plus pounds, only keeping two for the table. Good job crew. Both striped bass and bottom fishing are providing plenty of quality action. A call to Capt. Sal at (917) 601-4548 will seal the deal. Come on out while it lasts.
