Capt. Sam Rescigno of the Mary M IV said he's found a fairly good tautog bite, with some great days, some decent days, but averaging 40 keepers a trip and fishing just 5 miles out. Sam said he's been carrying the green crabs but he expects a few of his sharpies to show up for a few upcoming charters with the white leggers.

Capt. Sam Rescigno of the Mary M IV said they've been doing very well when the wind's not blowing. He's fishing for blackfish on a regular basis, and averaging about 40 tautog a trip with some of the biggest fish being around that 10-pound mark. Sam said they've been fishing snags from 3 to 10 miles off the beach, and noted that all the fish have been taken on green crabs.

Capt. Sam Rescigno of the Mary M IV was out when I called. He has been bottom fishing and will be all over the blackfish now that the bag limit has expanded. He does striper trips as well.

Sunday's trip aboard the Mary M II put patrons into bass into 25 pounds. Capt. Sam Rescigno said he read big amounts of bunker with some bass in them, but fishing was tough. After trying some live bunker to no avail they switched to 6-ounce jigs and that is what took the bass they caught.
