    Capt. Sam Rescigno of the Mary M IV was out when I called. He has been going when the weather has cooperated and not been bitter cold. Check with him to pick your dates for spring fishing.

    Capt. Sam Rescigno of the Mary M IV had the Forked River Tuna Club out over the weekend for their annual "High Stakes Black Fish Beat Down" on the Mary M IV, with Dave Iacono taking home $1,240 with his 10.54 pound tog! Matt Sorrentino called it an "epic day on the tautog grounds" and reported nine keepers with Magic Tails jigs getting it done.     Capt. Sam Rescigno of the Mary M IV said blackfishing was good up until Friday, with limits up to 11 pounds. It slowed down over the weekend, but he said they did have some striped bass catches up to 45 inches.
