Capt. Sam Rescigno of the Mary M IV was out when I called. With the ocean finally starting to settle down following the northeast blow and the effects of Hurricane Florence, he may have been out fishing.

    Capt. Sam Rescigno of the Mary M IV was out with a group on the Super Chic fishing for marlin and mahi and had good fishing, he said.

    Capt. Sam Rescigno of the Mary M IV said the fluking has been pretty good. Sunday was a little slower but they caught nice fish to 6 to 7 pounds with limit catches on the boat. "There's lots of bait around so it looks like we should see some good fall fishing," he said.

    Capt. Sam Rescigno of the Mary M IV said fluke fishing was very, very good on Sunday and has steadily improved. They had a great drift on Sunday that produced a lot of shorts but a lot of limit catches as well, with fish to 7 pounds. They had picked at the fish the day before with no drift. Give him a call for information and to book a trip.

    Capt. Sam Rescigno of the Mary M IV said he stuck mostly with sea bass and ling last week but they have been seeing the bonito and Spanish mackerel as well. The bonus has been catching some mahi as well, including ones in the 10- to 15-pound range. The fishing is just getting better.
