We sat all week because of the weather and then we lost Saturday's trip as well. In all it was not a good week said Capt. Mick Trzaska of the C.R.T. II. Mick said hopefully he will be able to get out this coming week after the remnants of the hurricane pass by.

    "We lost the two weekend trips we had," said Capt. Mick Trzaska of the C.R.T. II. Mick told me he lost more trips to the weather this year than in the past several years combined. It also looks like a few more trips will be put on hold this coming week with the storms moving up the coast. "Hopefully it won't affect the fall striper fishing which the boat is now taking bookings for," he said.

    A couple cancellations kept the C.R.T. II in port this past week. Capt. Mick Trzaska said he will be fluke fishing until the season closes and has some open dates for all types of fishing in September so check out his ad if you want to get in on the early fall fishing.

    A pair of trips aboard the C.R.T. II found some fluke and other rod benders. Capt. Mick Trzaska said his Wednesday trip with the Skae party enjoyed a steady bite of short and keeper fluke, along with doggies, skate and sea robins. On Friday the Chris Binicola group enjoyed some excellent conditions and saw a steady bite of the same fish.

    A Wednesday trip with the Smith party aboard the C.R.T. II accounted for a mix of short and keeper fluke. Capt. Mick Trzaska Saturday's trip came in early, after starting out on a good note, due to some bumpy seas.
