Lady Flamingo

November 13, 2017:
Capt. Bob Weigand of the new Lady Flamingo on Knapp Street reported bass are in their groove so now it's time to make your move. It was the week of the striper explosion. Sunday's trip was fantastic from start to finish. The fares hauled in a boat limit by 10:15 a.m. and played catch and release until it was time to go home. Bass to 30-pounds came over the rails during the week. The boat departs daily at 6:30 a.m. for bass and blues.

Capt. Bob Weigand of the new Lady Flamingo on Knapp Street reported it's time to focus on bass because the bass are here. Action was good on Thursday and Friday as he found fish in various areas. There was a fine mix of keepers and shorts. A bad combination of east wind and a full moon made it tough on Saturday and Sunday as many areas were inaccessible due to harsh sea conditions. The captain noted that the albies have left town. The boat departs daily at 6:30 a.m. for bass and blues.

I wasn't able to contact Capt. Bob Weigand of the new Lady Flamingo on Knapp Street but I know he plans to focus on stripers when he sails this week. The last time I heard from the captain bluefish action was off and on depending on the day and the albies were still around. The boat departs daily at 6:30 a.m. for bass and blues.

Capt. Bob Weigand of the new Lady Flamingo on Knapp Street said the number of false albies is huge and they are in several different areas. It's the largest number of albies he can remember. Action on albies and blues was good until Sunday when many albies were seen but not caught, and blues were uncooperative. He expects the winds this week and the new moon to stir the pot and get the bass going. The captain said he will then concentrate on putting bass on the deck for his fares. The boat departs daily at 6:30 a.m. for bass and blues.
