John said he heard of some small stripers and blues being caught from several places along the lower side of the bay and in the Shrewsbury River. Even with the nicer weather over the weekend traffic was very light he said.

John Amici at Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor said he picked a good time to come back from a trip to the west coast. Maybe it as John that brought the nice weather back with him? On the fishing front the cleaning stating got a good work out from Friday on with fluke, sea bass and other fish, and the boat ramp was the busiest it's been in over a month. With good weather predicted for this week, John said it's a good time to bring the family down to get in on the summer ending fishing.
