Capt. Mike Boccio of the Primetime III out of Orient reports outstanding bottom fishing for big porgies and sea bass with all the bottom trips loading up early. The John Chua group fished on the Jenglo at Block Island for limits of sea bass to 4 pounds. Saturday's Wreck Special aboard Jenglo put over 700 big red hake, a handful of market cod, pollock and yellowtail flounder to 4 pounds in the box. The 4 P.M. evening trips have had some nice striped bass to 12 pounds and limits of black sea bass. Capt. Mike steamed 45 miles to an offshore wreck and found a good mix of denizens of the deep including 39 cod to 25 pounds, a few pollock and loads of red hake. The Primetime III sails Monday thru Friday 7 A.M. full day open boat fishing for the famous "Rod Benders Special", with 4 P.M. open boat striped bass fishing available. In addition, special "Full Moon Trophy Bass" trips are slated for 924, 925, 926, 927 with a 12 angler limit. "Frisbees Fluke" a limited 8 hour trip on Saturday's 825, 91 and 98 at 6 A.M. and 5 A.M. Coxes Ledge cod and sea bass with a 12 angler limit sailing Sunday's 92 and 99 aboard the Jenglo Sportfisherman.     Dock Master Patrick from Prime in Shinnecock relayed a few boats went out this week end for daytrips and did mediocre at best. Nothing to weigh in this week.

    Capt. Mike Boccio of the Primetime III out of Orient reports his lovely bride Jen Boccio landed a 35 and a 42-pound bass, with the latter being her personal best. Kudos Jenny on a fine catch. Generally bottom fishing is good with porgies and sea bass aboard Prime Time III.  Blues and bass on the weekday trips holding up well. On Saturday, the John Menchichi group did a number on big fluke to 8 pounds aboard the Jenglo. Andrew Rabbe nailed down a 48-pounder striped bass this week aboard the Jenglo. The day trips have had mixed results with solid sea bass, big blues and stripers walloping bucktails. The keeper bass ratio is low, while the action factor is high. A charter trip aboard the Jenglo with Danny, Simeon and crew of 12 had a 3 hour grand blitz of nonstop giant scup and sea bass fishing, filling the box in short order. Tuesday's day run aboard the Primetime III had a big group for Alex Dauman bailing a limit of sea bass to 4 pounds, a mess of short bass and 30 blues.  The Primetime III sails Monday thru Friday 7 A.M. full day open boat fishing for the famous "Rod Benders Special", with 4 P.M. open boat striped bass fishing available. In addition, special "Full Moon Trophy Bass" trips are slated for 924, 925, 926, 927 with a 12 angler limit.     Capt. Mike Boccio of the Primetime III out of Orient reports big bass have decided to chew during the full moon. Jim Ryan's charter on Friday evening released many large bass on live eels retaining a limit between 44 and 49 pounds. Bottom fishing is superb with large black sea bass to 5 pounds and loads of big porgies to 3 pounds. The Rod Bender special has been enjoying great action on small striped bass inside the Plum Gut, culling out a few keepers and then changing over to sea bass where everyone limits out with jumbos to 5 pounds along with many big scup. The Primetime III sails Monday thru Friday 7 A.M. for a full day of the ever popular "Rod Bender" while Saturday and Sunday is devoted to a full day bottom and bass fishing departing 7 A.M., while 4 P.M. open boat striped bass fishing occurs Friday, Saturday and Sunday.     Capt. Mike Boccio of the Primetime III out of Orient reports excellent fishing both striped bass and sea bass on the Prime Time III on the weekend trips. While on the sea bass grounds, there are many scup around. There are quite a few fluke and sea bass around the Gardiners Island area, however few are keepers. The night striped bass trips are knocking it out of the park right now with good bass and easy boat limits every day. The Primetime III sails Monday thru Friday 7 A.M. full day open boat fishing for their "Rod Bending Special" targeting fluke, porgies and sea bass, while Saturday and Sunday is also devoted to full day mix bag action. Open boat striped bass trips run 4 P.M. Friday through Sunday's. Please note that the Jenglo will be cruising to Coxes Ledge in the next couple of weeks as an open boat by reservations only.
