Reel Cast Charters

September 9, 2019:
Capt. Mike of Reel Cast Charters said that, "It feels like the fall run has now officially begun. Bass and blues are feeding heavily and taking all types of lures—fly, light tackle and larger plugs. If you want to book an albie trip book ASAP because they should be showing up within the week. This week we had some big bass crushing topwater plugs, things are looking very good. Give a call to get in on the fall run action!"

Capt. Mike of Reel Cast Charters said, "The 'pre' Fall Run fishing has been great for light tackle and fly enthusiasts. There have been big schools of small bass and blues gorging on acres of juvenile butterfish. Larger bass have been showing sporadically and some of them have been willing to crush big topwaters; but live bait is always the best bet for the big ones. Things are looking good for the fall, call now to get in on the bite!"

Capt. Mike of Reel Cast Charters said, "We're seeing loads of small bait which has been fueling good surface feeds of bass, blues and mackerel. Large bass are around but tricky to catch; as always the big bass are taking live baits, but we did get a few nice fish on topwater also. It's still officially August, but the fall run is beginning, don't miss out!"

Capt. Mike of Reel Cast Charters said, "Fish are starting to move and we are seeing more surface feeds of bass and blues. The adult bunker are thick and we now have loads of juvenile baitfish in local waters. We have been pleased to see more gator blues in the 10- to 15-pound range this year than we have in the past few years. The bass fishing has remained consistent and we are seeing a mix of sizes from schoolies all way up to cow-size bass."
