Lewes Harbour Marina

At Lewes Harbour Marina, Amanda said Bill Swords, Kevin Legates and Tanner Virden ran to a canyon on Thursday and brought back a boat limit of blueline and golden tiles. Sandy Toomey fished the Outer Wall with sand fleas to catch a 5.19-pound sheepshead and a 2.45-pound triggerfish, The Katydid had a boat limit of tilefish and 35 dolphin on Wednesday. Captain Chip Graves took Kyle Falgowski, Billy Low and John Azato to a canyon where they dropped baits down 1800 feet to catch two swordfish on Wednesday.

    At Lewes Harbour Marina, Julie told us the boats were not able to get out to the ocean before Sunday, but prior to the storm the Katydid fished the bay returning with nine sheepshead to 13 pounds and the Grizzly also fished the bay for a mixed bag of sheepshead, trout and triggerfish. Chris Vann, the mate on the Katydid had a 6.36-pound flounder and Bob Murphy caught a 3,73 pounder also on the Katydid.

    At Lewes Harbour Marina, Amanda told us the Baker brothers brought in three swordfish weighing between 100 and 150 pounds caught on their boat Sea Tiger on Saturday. Steve Bishoff caught a 1.11-pound pompano on a Fishbites sand flea from the beach at Cape Henlopen State Park. Captain Cary Evans on the Grizzly had a boat limit of sea bass and some ling for his party on Saturday. On Friday Captain Jack on the Savannah Lynn was able to find some croaker and a nice triggerfish at Site 8 for his four-hour charter.

    At Lewes Harbour Marina, Amanda said Jack Henricksen had a 19-inch trout on a nuclear chicken Gulp! over bay structure. Ralph Short used jigs and cut bait to catch a 20-inch flounder over ocean structure. In the Flounder Pounder Tournament Katydid came in 7th, Perfect Mixture was 8th and Grizzly was 9th. All three teams also won two daily Calcuttas.

    At Lewes Harbour Marina, Amanda told us Al Manning fished the bay with squid and minnows to catch a 22-inch flounder. Ed Sizemore, Rusty Ewins and Butch Taylor fished ocean structure with squid and cut bait to catch seven keeper flounder. Captain Keith Beebe on the Surface Tension ran to the Baltimore Canyon to deep drop and came back with 29 golden tilefish for his party.
