Capt. Brian Bacon of Big Game Sportfishing said that Pete and Seamus had a great trip to Hydrographer over the weekend. The yellowfin were feeding hard and responding very well to the troll. They said that the rods were going down 3 and 4 at a time, resulting in 20 yellows between 40-70 pounds making it to the boat. The only bite at night came from a swordfish, which was sadly lost close to the boat. All in all, it was a great trip to the edge.

Capt. Brian Bacon of Big Game Sportfishing said that as the number of scallop boats dwindled from 20 to just 4 by week's end, the bluefin bite dwindled as well. The bite around the CIA grounds was solid for much of the week, but the fish seem to have moved on for now. Brian is pretty confident that they will find both the local and canyon tuna for some fun fishing in coming weeks.
